Dr. Mary Neal Dr. Mary Neal is a board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon who drowned while kayaking on a South American river. She experienced life after death. She went to heaven and back, conversed with Jesus and experienced God’s encompassing love. She was returned to Earth with some specific instructions for work she still needed to do. Her life has been one filled with miracles and intervention of God. Her story gives reason to live by faith and is a story of hope.

Mary is the author of two books, “To Heaven and Back,” and “7 Lessons from Heaven – How Dying Taught Me to Live a Joy Filled Life.”


Dr. Eben Alexander will speak about the eternity of souls. Dying is a crucial part of the human journey that we all share. As near-death experiences and other evidence reveals, while it may be the end of our physical existence, it is only a transition related to a much larger journey and a powerful step in the process of soul growth.

Eben Alexander, M.D., was an academic neurosurgeon for over 25 years, including 15 years at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School in Boston. He is the author of the bestselling “Proof of Heaven,” “The Map of Heaven,” and “Living in a Mindful Universe.”


Paul Denniston is the creator of Grief Yoga, which uses grief as fuel for healing and combines many forms of yoga and movement to help release sadness and anger and bring people to greater peace and happiness. Paul dedicated himself to studying grief with some of the top leaders on loss, including David Kessler, William Worden, and Bessel Van Der Kolk.

Paul has taught the techniques and exercises of Grief Yoga to more than 6,000 therapists, counselors, and health-care professionals to use with people in grief in the United States, England, and Australia. His stepson David died in 2016 and his sister Ella died in 2017.

Dr. Heidi Horsley is a licensed psychologist, social worker, and bereaved sibling. She co-hosts the award-winning weekly cable television show and podcast, Open to Hope. Dr. Heidi is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University, and an award-winning author, who has co-authored eight books.

Heidi serves on the Advisory Boards for the Tragedy Assistance Program, the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Foundation, and the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation.


Dr. Jeff O’Driscoll Dr. O’Driscoll frequently communicated with souls who hovered between this life and the next during his work in the emergency department of a major trauma center. He saw people leave their bodies at the time of death and he experienced eternity with them. For twenty years, he refused to speak about his experiences.

Now Dr. O’Driscoll openly discusses the otherworldly communications that began in his childhood, shortly after his brother died in a farm accident. His empowering message honors the divinity in every soul.


Jeff Olsen had a powerful Near Death Experience as the result of a horrific automobile accident that took the life of his wife and baby. She has four beautiful children, two of whom are in spirit: Chelsea who passed when she was 2 days old, and Morgan who transitioned at the Base Camp of Mount Everest in Tibet while on a university exchange program at age 20.

She also has two beautiful daughters: Alix, 27, and Christine, 25, who are volunteers at the conference. Elizabeth is also a certified yoga instructor and teaches yoga for healing grief.

Suicide Panel This panel will lead a discussion focused on healing for parents of children who have completed suicide. The panelists are: Moderator LeAnn Hull, Laurie Savoie, Beth West, David Park, and Clay Hull.


Kat Baillie is a British, certified evidential psychic medium, trance medium, therapist, healer and writer. She is the UK affiliate leader for Helping Parents Heal. Kat supports bereaved parents, running monthly support groups and events on a voluntary basis.

Dads Panel Recognizing the male tendency not to communicate how they feel, The Dads Panel will lead a discussion focused on communication skills and healing for Dads who have lost children. The panelists are: Moderator Mike Edwards, Ernie Jackson, Brian Smith, Mark Ireland and Jason Durham.


Brian Smith – Brian Smith is a life coach, grief partner, and small business consultant. He is on the board of the SoulPhone Foundation and Helping Parents Heal. Brian is also the author of “Grief 2 Growth: Planted. Not Buried”. He is the host of the Grief 2 Growth podcast.


Judith Hancox has been specializing in holistic trauma recovery for over three decades. She created Shiome Therapy, utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Energy Psychology, and Energy Medicine techniques to accelerate our innate ability to heal from traumatic stress.

Session participants will learn how traumatic stress impacts the energy systems of the mind and body, and discover creative, natural therapies that safely and effectively accelerate the healing process. Participants will discover how to create a sacred space for healing and connecting with our loved ones.


Melinda Kushner is an evidential spiritual medium, teacher, psychic and inspirational speaker. As a third-generation medium, she has spent her life challenging taboo views of mediumship and the spirit world. Melinda studied at the Arthur Findlay College in England where she began a life-long mentorship and friendship with world famous medium, Mavis Pittilla. Ernie Jackson In 2009, the Jackson family was forever transformed when their nine-year-old son Quinton was killed in a tragic accident during the family’s vacation. Searching for meaning in his life, Ernie scrutinized his job and the busy work it involved, and realized he had higher aspirations.

Ernie shares the eye-opening events that followed Quinton’s death as Quinton visited them and left messages for Ernie and his family after his transition which Ernie documented in his book, “Quinton’s Messages” a story of loss, grief, and hope that recounts how the Jackson family survived the sorrow they experienced after the loss of their beloved son and brother.

Mark Ireland Mark Ireland is Co-Founder of Helping Parents Heal and the Author of two books, including the groundbreaking Soul Shift: Finding Where the Dead Go. His father, Richard Ireland was a renowned 20th century Psychic-Medium who counseled Mae West, Glenn Ford, Amanda Blake, and the Eisenhower family. Mark has participated in mediumship research studies conducted by the University of Arizona, and the University of Virginia, and he currently operates his own Certification program.
